  • The Plum Village lifestyle has always embraced and included the participation of children. All activities are open for everyone, even the Dharma talks. Sometimes some mothers and fathers eventually end up having to carry their baby out of the meditation hall for crying a little too loud, but neither babies nor children are prohibited from being there in the first place. There is always space available for the children to sit together with the adults for a Dharma talk, for a formal meal, or even a sitting meditation—although children would often rather go out and play.
