About the Community of Mindful Living

The Community of Mindful Living (CML) was formed in 1983 to promote and support the practice of mindfulness for individuals, families, and societies. In 1999, CML became part of the Unified Buddhist Church.

Finding a Community of Mindful Living near you

The Community of Mindful Living provides support for individuals and communities who wish to practice mindfulness in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh. There are more than one hundred mindfulness practice groups or sanghas worldwide, mostly non-residential. There are residential communities at Plum Village in France, Blue Cliff Monastery in New York state, Deer Park in San Diego, Maple Village near Montreal, and Lotus Bud Village near Sydney.
